Deer leg question

Customer dropped me off a deer leg last week. Wants me to smoke it , so I asked what he was looking for. He mentioned that someelse did one for him and it was almost like a ham and he really liked it. Never cooked deer before so not sure what to do. Any suggestions ??

I haven't done deer either but someone who has should be along and answer your question...
