No, not yet. Far too many things missing to test honestly. It doesn't play bad on my older machine but there is little guidance from the tutorial and that is my biggest beef. Most of the things I deem important would not be considered game breaking this early in some circles but we seem to be about 2 years into this and it still seems very rough.

I like the premise. I like some of the general layout but hope to see things become a bit more intuitive. Controls seem a bit "off" for a few reasons. Look and feel in this is decent enough so I am sure after some polish is added it will be fine in that department.

Sticking around to see how this goes. Other games have taken a similar path and although the conceptual aspects seem well intended they never quite reached a decent end. Hopefully this will be different.

Hi there,

Thank you for the feedback. The prologue has become somewhat of a proof-of-concept for the full release; we've taken everyone's feedback on board and incorporated it into the full game, and we think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised. The tutorial is one we hear often, and one we're keeping in mind.

Thank you for deciding to stick with us, we hope you'll check out the full version of Occupy Mars once it releases, and have a lot of fun with it :)

Thanks,

The Occupy Mars team

Fast forward to 2024, the game improved so much that I had to change my review of the game. It really has come a long way from its "proof of concept" stage. The game is much better now. Better than when I reviewed it at that time. I am actually impressed with how this has advanced.
